Reimagine your home: our homeowner service explained

Technopaints Editorial·7 min read

Introduction

A painted wall is more than a fresh coat. It is the shortest, most affordable way to change how a home feels day to day. Colour changes light, mood, focus and even the perceived size of a room. Done well, a single paint project can hide a decade of wear, correct light problems in a north-facing room, and give a tired home the feeling of a new one.

At Technopaints we do more than sell paint. We deliver the full painting service under one accountable team, from the first colour conversation to the final inspection. This blog explains how that homeowner service actually works, so you know exactly what to expect before you book a visit.

Why an end-to-end service matters

Most Indian homeowners have lived through a painting job that started well and ended in disputes: a shade that looked different on the wall than on the card, a contractor who disappeared halfway, drying times that ran over, or a warranty that could not be honoured because materials and labour came from two different people.

Our We Supply · We Apply model exists to close those gaps:

  • One team owns the outcome. There is no finger-pointing between the paint dealer and the painter when something goes wrong.
  • Materials are batch-consistent because they come straight from our manufacturing unit through our depots — not from a dealer's stock rotation.
  • The warranty is applied on the finished wall, not just the tin. Certified painters follow the exact system the product was designed for.
  • This is what turns a repaint from a project you have to babysit into a service you can hand off.

The Technopaints homeowner service in five stages

    1. Free site visit and colour conversation

Book online, over WhatsApp or by calling the studio nearest you. A consultant visits your home, measures the surfaces, understands your lifestyle and light conditions, and walks you through the shade library.

You are not choosing from a small card in a shop. Our Techno Colour Spectrum carries 2,700+ shades, and the consultant can bring physical samples to your wall so you see the colour in your own daylight and evening light before committing.

    2. Transparent itemised quote

You receive a written quote that shows quantity, coats, primer system, surface preparation scope, and the applied warranty duration for each area. No line labelled miscellaneous. No surprise charges after work starts.

If the plan needs to change mid-project — say a wall has more damage than we could see from the surface — we stop, agree the new scope with you in writing, and only then continue.

    3. Surface preparation and primer

Ninety percent of a paint job's long-term appearance is decided before the first colour coat. Our painters clean the surface of dust, grease and flaking paint, fill cracks with the appropriate putty, sand to a smooth even finish, and apply the matching Technopaints primer.

The primer is not the same for every wall. Damp walls, efflorescence-prone areas and freshly plastered surfaces each need a different primer from the range. Choosing the right one is why the finish coat lasts.

    4. Application and daily supervision

Two coats of your chosen finish, applied by brush, roller or spray, with the recommended drying interval between coats. A supervisor visits daily to check consistency, catch drips or roller marks while they are still workable, and confirm you are happy with each room before it is closed out.

Furniture is covered, floors are sheeted, and dust is contained. Your home stays livable — we do not need you to move out for a standard interior repaint.

    5. Handover, inspection and warranty

Nothing is called complete until you walk each room with the supervisor and sign it off. Every dent, drip and missed corner gets touched up before the crew leaves. You receive the warranty document, a care guide and the batch numbers of every product used, so if a repair is ever needed years later, the exact match can be tinted again.

What is covered by the applied warranty

The warranty on Technopaints emulsions is issued per product and printed on the tin — five to eight years on our Luxury and Premium interiors, up to ten years on exterior systems, longer on select waterproofing. When our certified painters do the application, the warranty covers both material and workmanship: peeling, blistering, colour fade and film failure under normal Indian conditions.

That is different from the warranty you get if you buy a tin from a shop and hire your own painter. Then the material warranty stays, but no one is responsible for how the paint was applied. Most finish failures are application failures.

    What it costs

A homeowner project starts from a site visit that is free of charge, whether or not you go ahead. The quote you receive is inclusive of surface preparation, primer, two finish coats, applicator materials and the applied warranty. Payments are staged — a booking amount to secure your slot, a mid-project instalment on primer sign-off, and the balance on handover after your walkthrough.

    How to book

Visit any of our 28 Colour Experience Centres across ten states, call +91 40 2312 5585 or fill the enquiry form on our website. A consultant will call back within 24 hours, and most homeowners get their first site visit scheduled inside a week.

Repainting your home is one of the largest cosmetic decisions you will make this year. Choose a service that stands behind the wall, not just the tin.
